With an MSW and a Ph.D. in organizational psychology, Sandra Schiff is the president of the southeast Michigan-based coaching and consulting firm Health Mate, Inc. A member of the International Coaching Federation, Sandra Schiff is a certified Wellness Coach, Care Transition Coach, and Peoplemap™ facilitator.
Founded in 1989 by E. Michael Lillibridge, Peoplemap is a system of programs designed to improve people skills. The system is rooted in the recognition of four personality types: Leader, People, Free Spirit, and Task. In addition to a personality questionnaire and several other programs, the Peoplemap system includes a segment focused on leadership development.
The Peoplemap Leadership Development segment follows the basic training course for the program. The training builds on program concepts that are taught in the entry course and is targeted at leaders in all organizational levels. In addition to enhancing people skills, individuals who participate in the leadership development program learn to establish a vision and address the growth of an organization. These skills, which are taught in tandem with the ability to address the organization’s bottom line, help to improve leadership success.
